J. Jayalalithaa (1948–2016) was a prominent Bhartiya politician and actress who was renowned for her strong attitude and charismatic leadership. For multiple terms, she was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. She was a general secretary of All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), a regional political party in Tamil Nadu.

She was respected for her social welfare programs and development initiatives that aimed to improve a lot of the underprivileged and disadvantaged groups in society. Significant improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education have place in Tamil Nadu during the reign of Jayalalithaa.

She attracted both passionate admirers and critics due to her leadership style, yet she remained a powerful figure in Tamil Nadu politics for many years. After her death in 2016, Jayalalithaa left behind a lasting legacy as a strong and important figure in Bhartiya politics.
